The LSE Directory / CFD and forex brokers
ATFX is the retail brand of the ATFX Group, operating in the UK through AT Global Markets (UK) Limited, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 760555, authorised 11 July 2017, registered office Tower 42, 25 Old Broad Street, London). It offers leveraged CFD and spread-betting trading in forex pairs, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs and cryptocurrencies through MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, its own AT Go mobile app, and a proprietary funded-trader program, ATFunded, launched in 2025. The group runs two distinct business lines rather than a single retail book: the ATFX consumer brand, and ATFX Connect, a separately regulated prime-of-prime liquidity and technology provider that the company states does not serve retail clients at all. Connect built out a ConnectX trading ecosystem and an Institutional Edge liquidity solution in the fourth quarter of 2025, holds Cyber Essentials Plus certification, and in 2025 signed Standard Chartered as an FX prime broker, positioning ATFX against competitors that operate a single undifferentiated client tier rather than split retail and institutional flow. ATFX Group is chaired by Joe Li; ATFX Connect's team includes managing director Wei Qiang Zhang and chief operating officer Mohammed Khan. Beyond its FCA authorisation, the group holds licenses from ASIC in Australia, CySEC in Cyprus, the Securities and Commodities Authority in the UAE, Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission, South Africa's FSCA, Mauritius's FSC, the Seychelles FSA and Cambodia's Securities and Exchange Regulator, nine regulators in total. As of its 2025 reporting the group employed roughly 450 staff across 24 locations on five continents, and has sponsored the Duke of Edinburgh's Award for eight consecutive years alongside a partnership with the Argentine Football Association. In the first quarter of 2026 ATFX reported USD 1.09 trillion in group trading volume, the first quarter in which it has crossed the trillion-dollar mark, up 40.62% year on year and 33.58% on the prior quarter, with growth concentrated in energy markets and currency pairs. The group also picked up 17 industry awards during 2025 and, in 2026, won ADVFN's "Best LATAM Region Broker" award for the fifth time.
