The LSE Directory / CFD and forex brokers

FXTM (ForexTime) is a retail and professional forex and CFD broker. Clients trade spot currency pairs and CFDs on stocks, indices, commodities, precious metals, cryptocurrencies, futures and ETFs, mainly through MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 on desktop, web and mobile. The brand is operated by Exinity Limited, licensed in Mauritius, and by Exinity UK Limited in Britain, with account tiers running from a low-minimum Micro account up to Advantage and Advantage Plus accounts for active traders and a separate Advantage Stocks account for equity CFDs. The broker specialises in emerging-market retail trading, with account acquisition and local offices concentrated on Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America; it has not targeted EU retail clients since 2021. It also holds a UK FCA license through Exinity UK Limited and accepts UK retail clients, though FXTM Invest, its own copy-trading product, is restricted from UK and EU clients. Its clearest differentiator against other MetaTrader-based brokers is FXTM Invest, launched in 2016, which lets an Investor allocate as little as 100 USD, EUR or GBP to automatically mirror a vetted Strategy Manager's trades, paying that manager a share of realised profit instead of a flat fee. FXTM pairs this with a large free education library of webinars, video courses and market analysis aimed at traders who are new to the markets. FXTM was founded in 2011 by Andrey Dashin, who earlier founded the Alpari forex group in 1998, together with Olga Rybalkina, who has been FXTM's chief executive since founding. In 2020 Dashin brought FXTM and his other retail-trading brands together under a new holding structure, Exinity Group, with Rybalkina moving into the CEO role at group level. FXTM states it serves more than 1 million clients in over 100 countries and has won more than 45 industry awards since launch. It holds an Investment Dealer License from Mauritius's Financial Services Commission (C113012295), is regulated in the UK by the FCA through Exinity UK Limited (license 777911), in South Africa by the FSCA (FSP 50320), in Kenya by the Capital Markets Authority as a non-dealing forex broker (license 135), and in Abu Dhabi Global Market by the FSRA as a Category 3A firm (license 200015). FXTM voluntarily gave up its Cyprus Investment Firm license in early 2024, after ceasing all operations under its Cypriot entity on 31 December 2023; CySEC formally withdrew the authorisation effective 20 May 2024. Exinity's group chief commercial officer said at the time that the company had not targeted European clients for years and did not intend to focus on Europe going forward, making the closure a formal confirmation of a strategy already in place: emerging-market retail trading outside the EU regulatory regime.
