The LSE Directory / CFD and forex brokers

Global Prime is an online forex and CFD broker, trading as FMGP Trading Group Pty Ltd in Australia, founded in 2010 to serve institutional MT4 traders before opening to retail clients in 2011. It offers trading in spot forex plus CFDs on indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies and, per its own platforms page, bonds and share CFDs, through MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 across desktop, web and mobile, with the company saying it plans to add TradingView. It advertises coverage of 150 plus markets and clients in 170 plus countries. The broker positions itself on execution transparency within the retail CFD category. It runs an A-book, no dealing desk model, aggregating pricing from more than 26 tier-1 liquidity providers through three prime brokers, with orders routed via co-located servers at the Equinix NY4 data centre and quoted execution speeds from around 10 milliseconds. Its differentiator, repeatedly cited by independent broker-review sites and forum discussion, is an automated post-trade receipt issued after every order that discloses which liquidity provider filled it, the slippage (positive or negative), the spread and the execution time, a level of order-level disclosure that most retail forex brokers do not publish. Global Prime holds an Australian Financial Services Licence from ASIC (AFSL 385620, entity FMGP Trading Group Pty Ltd), plus offshore licenses from the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC, registration 40256, entity Gleneagle Securities Pty Limited) and the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (license SD057). It states client funds are held in segregated trust accounts with a tier-1 bank. Trade publication FX News Group reported that Global Prime's prior owners, Jeremy Kinstlinger and Elan Bension (who had co-owned and run it since 2012), sold the brand to Fusion Markets, the brokerage founded by former Pepperstone executives Phil Horner and David Swinden; both Fusion Markets and Global Prime now operate under the same ASIC-licensed entity, FMGP Trading Group Pty Ltd, which matches the entity named on Global Prime's own regulatory disclosures. Kinstlinger and Bension went on to found a separate venture, Afterprime. Since the change of ownership, Global Prime has continued to operate as a distinct retail brand alongside Fusion Markets rather than being folded into it, still marketing its execution-transparency positioning, including award claims such as a 2025 "Best Execution Broker" recognition cited on its own site.
