GO Markets is a CFD and forex broker founded in 2006 as GO Markets Pty Ltd in Melbourne, Australia. It offers leveraged trading in currency pairs, share CFDs, index CFDs, commodity CFDs and cryptocurrency CFDs, plus bond and ETF CFDs, through MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradingView and its own GO TradeX mobile app. The company states it lists more than 2,000 tradable CFD instruments and serves clients in over 150 countries. The firm was one of the first Australian brokers to make MetaTrader 4 available to retail clients, and it has built its regulatory footprint around that early platform bet rather than a proprietary trading system. It operates through separate licensed entities: GO Markets Pty Ltd holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL 254963) from ASIC for its domestic retail business, GO Markets Ltd (Cyprus Registration Number HE 351644, formerly Galactus Ltd) is licensed by CySEC under licence 322/17, issued 3 April 2018, passporting MiFID II investment services across the EEA with negative balance protection and Investor Compensation Fund cover up to 20,000 euro, and GO Markets Pty Ltd (MU) is licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius as an investment dealer for its offshore, higher leverage client base. The company is privately held and not listed on any exchange. Christopher Gore, who joined GO Markets in 2009 as a currency analyst, served as its CEO from 2017 until his departure in July 2020 after eleven years with the firm. GO Markets added Victor Zachariades, a former Pepperstone EU managing director, to its board in October 2023. The company markets itself as having served hundreds of thousands of traders since 2006, though it does not publish independently audited client or volume figures. In September 2025, GO Markets partnered with market intelligence provider Acuity Trading to launch Signal Centre, a trade idea service delivering roughly 50 daily signals with a stated 2 to 1 risk reward ratio through MetaTrader, Telegram and email, aimed at clients in Australia, Asia Pacific and Latin America and combining human analysis with automated screening.
