XM Group is the retail and institutional trading brand of Trading Point Holdings Ltd, headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus. It operates an online brokerage offering leveraged contracts for difference across forex, stock CFDs, equity and thematic indices, commodities, precious metals, energies, and cryptocurrencies, plus direct share trading in select regions. Clients trade through MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and XM's own WebTrader and mobile apps, choosing from account types that range from spread-only Standard and Micro accounts to a raw-spread Zero account and a no-leverage Shares account. XM competes primarily on execution quality and regulatory breadth rather than on being a discount broker. It advertises a no-requotes, no-rejections order execution policy without a Virtual Dealer Plugin, meaning trades are filled at live market prices rather than routed through a dealing desk that can reject or repost quotes. Its regulatory footprint spans a higher-tier group, CySEC in Cyprus, ASIC in Australia, the FCA in the UK, the DFSA in Dubai, and, since December 2025, a Category Five license from the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority held by subsidiary XM Financial Products Promotion LLC, alongside a lower-tier offshore group, the Belize FSC, Mauritius FSC, Seychelles FSA, Kenya CMA and South Africa's FSCA, letting it onboard retail clients in more than 190 countries under whichever entity applies to their jurisdiction. Trading Point of Financial Instruments Ltd was founded in Cyprus in 2009 by Constantinos (Costas) Cleanthous, a former interbank trader and fund manager who remains the group's principal owner. The brand traded initially as XEMarkets before Trading Point bought the two-letter domain XM.com in 2013, one of only 676 two-letter .com domains registered at the time. Its Cyprus entity holds CySEC license 120/10, its Australian entity, Trading Point of Financial Instruments Pty Ltd, holds ASIC license 443670, and its Dubai entity holds DFSA license F003484. The group reports more than 15 million clients across over 190 countries and more than 1,400 tradable instruments. Since 2016 XM has sponsored Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr FC, its first sponsorship deal in the Gulf region. In March 2026, XM received two awards from Capital Finance International (CFI.co), Best Gold Broker 2026 and Best Customer Service Global 2026, citing more than 700 million gold positions opened on its platform in 2025; Group co-CEO Menelaos Menelaou and Chief Experience Officer Simos Konis were quoted in the announcement. The award followed the December 2025 UAE Securities and Commodities Authority license, part of a push through 2025 and into 2026 to formalize the group's presence in Gulf markets it had first entered informally through the Al-Nassr sponsorship a decade earlier.
