The LSE Directory / Charting platforms
Benzinga Pro is the flagship paid subscription product of Benzinga, a Detroit, Michigan financial media and data company founded in 2010. It packages a real-time news feed the company markets as one of the fastest in the market, an audio Squawk broadcast of breaking headlines, a stock and options scanner, customizable watchlists, an economic and earnings calendar, sentiment indicators, moderated trader chat rooms, and proprietary technical and options signals; charting inside the platform is built on TradingView and spans minute through monthly timeframes. As of mid-2026 the product is sold in three tiers, Basic, Streamlined and Essential, priced from roughly $37 to $197 a month before an annual-billing discount, with optional add-ons such as a High Beta Squawk feed. The product targets self-directed active and day traders rather than institutional trading desks, competing against terminal products such as Bloomberg or FactSet primarily on price and accessibility rather than breadth of data. Benzinga differentiates itself by staffing its own newsroom of financial journalists instead of only aggregating third-party wires, and by selling that same underlying content separately as a business-to-business data line, Benzinga APIs, which licenses structured news, analyst-ratings, earnings, dividends, calendar, insider-trade and government-trade, and unusual-options-activity feeds in JSON and XML to brokerages, fintechs and developers; that second, non-consumer revenue channel is not something most retail-facing news terminals run alongside their subscription product. Jason Raznick founded Benzinga in 2010, launching it from his home in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, and the company has remained headquartered in Detroit through its growth. On October 25, 2021, Beringer Capital acquired a majority stake in the company at a reported valuation of $300 million; Raznick retained a significant stake and continued in a leadership role. Benzinga states on its own site that it reaches approximately 25 million readers a month and describes itself as the largest news vendor to North American brokerages. In 2026 Benzinga extended its API business through new data relationships, including an April 2026 agreement with Apex Fintech Solutions to make Benzinga's market-intelligence APIs available across Apex's network of brokerage and fintech clients, and a separate integration announced with Connect Trade to embed Benzinga's real-time news and analysis into broker trading workflows. The Essential tier of Benzinga Pro also added an AI feature, branded Benzinga AI, that automatically summarizes news and flags potential market-moving stories.
