The LSE Directory / Charting platforms
CoinGlass is a cryptocurrency derivatives market data and analytics platform. It aggregates real time and historical data from more than 30 exchanges, including Binance, OKX, Bybit, Deribit, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitget and Hyperliquid, and surfaces it through a web dashboard, iOS and Android apps, and a REST and WebSocket API. Core metrics include open interest, funding rates, long/short ratios, liquidation volumes and heatmaps, options open interest, spot prices and order book depth, alongside order flow tools such as footprint charts and cumulative volume delta. The platform specialises in derivatives transparency rather than trading execution; it does not operate as an exchange or broker and does not custody customer funds. Instead it standardises exchange reported metrics so they are comparable across venues. Its liquidation heatmaps and open interest tracking are its most cited features among retail and professional crypto traders, and it differentiates itself from narrower, single exchange dashboards by aggregating leverage, funding and liquidation data across the whole derivatives market in one place. Target users range from individual traders and content creators monitoring leverage conditions to quantitative analysts, researchers and institutions that consume the data through paid API tiers covering futures, spot, options, on chain metrics and ETF flow data. The platform launched under the name Bybt before rebranding to CoinGlass as its coverage broadened beyond exchange specific metrics to the wider derivatives market. Crunchbase lists the operating company under its original name, Bybt, as a small, privately held fintech firm with 1 to 10 employees and no publicly disclosed funding rounds. CoinGlass states its mobile app has passed 3 million downloads across iOS and Android, and describes its API as covering more than 160 endpoints and 250,000 tradable instruments, with futures data from 27 or more exchanges, spot data from 11 or more, and options data from four (Deribit, Binance, OKX and Bybit), built on a historical archive it describes as exceeding 1,500 terabytes across more than eight years of records. These scale figures are the company's own disclosures and were not independently verified in this research pass. More recently, CoinGlass has built out its own research team and proprietary indices, including the CoinGlass Derivatives Index, an open interest weighted price index drawn from the top 100 perpetual futures contracts, and the CoinGlass Derivatives Risk Index, a 0 to 100 score combining open interest, funding rates, implied volatility and liquidation volume into a single leverage and risk gauge. It also publishes periodic crypto derivatives market reports, including semi annual and annual editions.
