The LSE Directory / Charting platforms
Myfxbook is a web based analytics and performance tracking platform for forex and CFD traders. Users connect their brokerage accounts, including MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and others, using a read only investor password, and the platform automatically pulls the trade history to build statistics such as profit and loss, drawdown, win rate and profit factor, along with equity curves and public profile pages that can be shared or embedded elsewhere. What sets Myfxbook apart within the trade journaling and signal seller space is its verification model: it checks the trade history it displays against the broker's own records and labels each account's track record and trading privileges as verified or unverified, addressing a long standing problem of fabricated forex track records used to sell signals or expert advisors. On top of analytics, AutoTrade lets users automatically mirror the trades of vetted, real money trading systems across supported brokers, with signal providers compensated only for profitable periods; the Outlook tool separately aggregates live long and short positioning from connected accounts into a sentiment indicator for major currency pairs and gold. The core service is free to traders, with revenue coming from broker partnerships and marketing rather than subscriptions, and it serves individual retail traders, signal providers and broker partners rather than institutional desks. The company was started by brothers Alex and Pavel Rekun, who conceived the idea in 2007 and launched the service in 2009 after roughly a year of development, bootstrapped without outside investment; Alex Rekun has served as CEO. Myfxbook is based in Cyprus, and in October 2014 it obtained a Cyprus Investment Firm license from CySEC (license 255/14), but let it lapse in October 2015 having not made use of it within the required twelve months, so it does not currently hold Cyprus investment firm authorisation despite being domiciled there. The platform later added native cTrader account support alongside its original MetaTrader integration, and in 2021 it ended an eleven year advertising partnership with ForexStreet to build its own in house marketing team. Beyond account tracking, Myfxbook operates a broader free toolset aimed at the same retail trading audience: an economic calendar, forex news, currency correlation and volatility calculators, and an active community forum, plus a free Android app for market news and calendar alerts. It also publishes a public API for developers to pull account and market data programmatically.
