The LSE Directory / Charting platforms

Stock Rover is a browser-based investment research and portfolio management platform, run entirely in the browser with no software to install. It combines a stock, ETF and mutual fund screener (up to 800+ financial and fundamental metrics on its top plan), company research reports, side-by-side comparison tools, price and fundamental charting, and portfolio tracking in one workspace. The platform covers more than 14,000 North American stocks, 7,000 ETFs and 40,000 mutual funds, with up to 20 years of historical fundamentals and price data and 30 years of dividend history on its highest tiers. Users can link brokerage accounts on a read-only basis, most through the Yodlee account-aggregation service and Interactive Brokers through a separate direct feed, with holdings synced into Stock Rover portfolios nightly or on manual refresh. The platform markets itself as institutional-grade research built for individual investors rather than professional traders: it supports value, growth, dividend, momentum and quantitative screening styles, with custom formula metrics, ranked and percentile screening, and multi-panel layouts available on its higher tiers. That emphasis on raw data depth and configurability sets it apart from lighter screening tools built around a single proprietary score or rating, and from technically oriented screeners; independent reviews note it is built for long-term, buy-and-hold, dividend and portfolio-manager style investors rather than day traders, options traders or mobile-first users. Access is sold across four paid tiers, Premium, Premium Plus, Ultimate and Ultimate Pro, which scale up the metric count, screener and portfolio limits, brokerage-connection limits and historical data depth, alongside a limited free plan. Stock Rover was founded in 2008 by software engineers and individual investors Howard Reisman and Andrew Martin, who built the platform after finding they had to stitch together multiple websites, tools and spreadsheets to do their own stock research; it launched publicly in 2011. Reisman, a Brown University graduate who had previously founded systems-management software company Heroix, is listed on the company's own site as founder and CEO; Martin, a Dartmouth College computer science graduate, is founder and CTO. Stock Rover reports that assets held in accounts linked to its platform passed $1.5 billion in 2018, $10 billion in 2021, $23 billion in 2023, and $37.5 billion in 2026. The company states that all information on the platform is for educational purposes and does not constitute investment advice or a buy or sell recommendation.
