The LSE Directory / Charting platforms

ZuluTrade is a copy trading platform on which investors, called Followers, automatically replicate the trades of independent strategy providers, called Leaders, across forex, stocks, indices, commodities and cryptocurrency, typically traded as CFDs. Rather than operating as a broker itself, ZuluTrade links to a Follower's existing MT4, MT5, ActTrader or X Open Hub account, or to a co-branded broker account, and mirrors a chosen Leader's positions in real time. The platform differentiates itself from single-broker copy tools by working across many partner brokers instead of one execution venue, and by letting Leaders monetize their strategies directly, free of charge through Integrated or Co-Branded brokers, or via a paid per-strategy subscription on other accounts. Its ZuluRank algorithm scores and ranks Leaders on risk-adjusted performance and trading behavior rather than raw returns alone, and features such as ZuluGuard automated risk limits, a portfolio simulator, backtesting and a rule-based Automator are aimed at helping Followers manage risk instead of simply chasing past performance. It targets retail investors who want market exposure without picking trades themselves, alongside a separate base of professional and semi-professional traders who supply strategies as Leaders. ZuluTrade was founded in 2007 by Leon Yohai and Kosta Eleftheriou, who according to Wikipedia built the original platform around a trade-copying tool connected to FXCM's trading API; it entered beta in 2008 and is now headquartered in Athens, Greece, operating as ZuluTrade International Limited. The company holds a portfolio management license from Greece's Hellenic Capital Markets Commission (No. 2/540/17.2.2010), an EU Portfolio Management License obtained in 2015, and is also regulated in Japan, Mauritius and South Africa. It reports more than 2.4 million registered users, over 90,000 Leaders, users in more than 150 countries, and cumulative trade volume in excess of 800 billion dollars. In December 2021, ZuluTrade was acquired by Finvasia Group alongside AAAFx, a separate Hellenic Capital Markets Commission licensed portfolio management firm; the price was not disclosed. In April 2022, Finvasia co-founder and CEO Tajinder Virk was appointed interim CEO of ZuluTrade, succeeding George Illias, while the group searched for a permanent chief executive. ZuluTrade has since collected industry awards including Best Social Trading Solution at the UF Awards Global 2023 and Best Social Trading Solution, MEA at the UF Awards MEA 2023.
