The LSE Directory / Data providers
CQG, Inc. is a Denver, Colorado based financial technology company that builds trading platforms, market data feeds, and execution infrastructure for the futures, options, and broader derivatives markets. Its core offering consolidates real time and historical price data from more than 85 exchanges and data sources into a single feed, paired with direct market access order routing to more than 45 exchanges through co-located Hosted Exchange Gateways and connectivity across roughly 130 futures commission merchant and broker environments. Traders reach this infrastructure through CQG's own front ends, principally CQG Integrated Client, the web based CQG One (launched March 2022), CQG Desktop, CQG QTrader, and CQG Mobile, or build on top of it directly via CQG's APIs, FIX connectivity, and the CQG Continuum enterprise API division it launched in 2010. CQG specialises in futures and options execution and trade routing rather than equities brokerage, and its customer base skews toward commercial hedgers, proprietary trading firms, commodity trading advisors, brokers, and institutional and retail futures traders rather than the general public. A differentiator within its category is CQG Spreader, a sub-millisecond multi-legged spread trading tool aimed at professional futures traders, alongside dedicated historical and back-adjusted data products, CQG Data Factory and Portara, used for backtesting and quantitative research. The company also runs "CQG on Campus," supplying its platform to university trading programs including Northwestern and NYU Stern, and is the named technology provider for the CME Group Trading Challenge. CQG began serving US traders in 1980, originally out of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, before its headquarters moved to Denver. It expanded into Europe and then Asia over the following two decades and now maintains sales, support, and data center locations across more than 60 countries, including Chicago, New York, London, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore, Shanghai, and Kyiv. The company was privately held for most of its history. Ryan Moroney, who has spent about 18 years at CQG including a stint as its president, serves as chief executive officer. Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE: BR) announced an agreement to acquire CQG on February 6, 2026, and completed the deal in early May 2026 for a purchase price of approximately $173.0 million plus additional contingent consideration, according to Broadridge's SEC filings. CQG now sits inside Broadridge's Global Technology and Operations (GTO) reportable segment, intended to combine its execution management, algorithmic trading, and analytics capabilities with Broadridge's existing order management and multi asset connectivity platform.
