The LSE Directory / Data providers

QUODD is a cloud-native financial market data provider founded in 1999 and headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey. The company delivers real-time, delayed, historical, end-of-day, reference, and pricing data across global equities, ETFs, funds, fixed income, options, futures, indices, FX, crypto, and metals, aggregating content sourced from more than 150 international exchanges. Its core products include the QX Digital Platform for programmatic and desktop access to pricing and reference data, the QX Marketplace catalog of market data APIs and feeds, and the Equity+ securities workstation for streaming quotes, charting, and fundamental research. The company markets itself around a data on demand model: rather than one fixed feed, clients choose the asset classes, formats, and delivery methods they need, from raw API access to a turnkey digital workstation. Its customer base ranges from Series A fintech startups to Fortune 500 financial institutions, spanning banks, broker-dealers, wealth and asset managers, insurance companies, and fintechs. QUODD is SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II certified, a compliance posture aimed at regulated institutional buyers. It reports collecting and curating more than 250 billion data points in 2025, and its QX Marketplace lists more than 500 individual market data APIs and feeds. QUODD is a platform company of NewSpring Holdings, a strategy of the private equity firm NewSpring Capital (Radnor, Pennsylvania), which reports more than 3.5 billion dollars in assets under management across five investment strategies; NewSpring's board representatives on QUODD are Jim Ashton and Lee Garber. In February 2023, QUODD acquired Xignite, a California based market data API provider, in a deal with undisclosed financial terms; the combined company reported serving more than 2,200 institutional clients whose applications called Xignite's APIs more than half a trillion times per month. QUODD's executive team includes CEO Bob Ward, CFO Max Broedlow, COO Gary Grochmal, CTO David Kirk, and Chief Revenue Officer Scott Kirschbaum. The company says it serves nearly 2,000 institutions and won the FTF News Technology Innovation Award for Best Cloud and Infrastructure Modernization in 2026. In January 2026, QUODD announced a partnership with Tako, an AI data analysis platform, integrating QUODD's market data into Tako's knowledge graph so that AI agents can query real time and historical equities, options, indices, and futures data in natural language; QUODD CEO Bob Ward and Tako CEO Alex Rosenberg were both quoted on the deal, an example of the company extending its API distribution toward AI native financial applications.
