TrueFX is a foreign exchange market data service operated by Integral Development Corp, a Silicon Valley based financial technology firm founded in 1993 and led by co-founder and CEO Harpal Sandhu. TrueFX aggregates indicative and event-driven, tick-by-tick bid and offer prices from Integral's OCX network, an electronic trading network connecting more than 250 banks and financial institutions, plus cryptocurrency pricing sourced separately from Mint Exchange, an institutional crypto asset clearinghouse. The service is best known for its free, registration-gated historical tick data downloads: CSV files with millisecond-level timestamps for major currency pairs dating back to May 2009, alongside a free real-time top-of-book web API for individual users covering a smaller set of pairs. TrueFX differentiates itself from typical retail FX data vendors by sourcing prices directly from an interbank ECN rather than a single broker's own book, and by giving the historical tick archive away free rather than metering it, which has made it a widely cited reference data source for academic and quantitative FX research as well as for testing brokers and trading algorithms. Its paid tiers target brokers, hedge funds and other institutions that need continuous, low-latency delivery rather than downloadable files: a Professional plan and an Institutional plan, delivered as event-driven streams over FIX with mid-point, top-of-book and, on the Institutional tier, depth-of-book pricing across more than 200 FX pairs and more than 10 cryptocurrencies, with optional cross-connects in the NY4, LD4 and TK3 data centres for institutional subscribers. The current TrueFX product suite dates to 2019: Integral announced the streaming market data service in May 2019 with free, Professional and Institutional tiers priced at 4,950 and 7,450 US dollars per month, and in November 2019 partnered with Jefferies FXPB, the prime brokerage arm of Jefferies, to launch a related centrally cleared OTC trading venue under the same TrueFX name aimed at buy-side firms such as retail brokers, regional banks and macro hedge funds, with Jefferies FXPB providing credit intermediation and Integral providing the technology. TrueFX won Best New Product at the 2020 Markets Media Choice Awards. TrueFX is not itself a broker; it describes itself as a neutral technology and data service provided by Integral.
