Brian Armstrong is an American entrepreneur who co-founded Coinbase with Fred Ehrsam in 2012 while working as a software engineer at Airbnb. Coinbase became the first major regulated cryptocurrency exchange in the United States and went public on NASDAQ in April 2021 via a direct listing at a valuation exceeding $85 billion.
