The LSE Directory / Fintech founders
Chris Worden is an American software entrepreneur who co-founded Worden Brothers, Inc. in 1988 with his older brother Peter, while Chris was still an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The company, whose original product TeleChart honored the market-research work of their father Don Worden, went on to create TC2000, a technical-analysis charting, scanning and trading platform that Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazine has repeatedly named the industry's best stock analysis software. Worden serves as the company's president and chief executive, having led its product design and its expansion from desktop software into web and cloud platforms such as FreeStockCharts.com, and in 2013 he founded the affiliated broker-dealer TC2000 Brokerage, Inc. Worden Brothers relocated from Chapel Hill to Fort Lauderdale and then, in 2008, to Wilmington, North Carolina, where it remains a family-run business; a third brother, John Worden, joined in 1991 to manage its finances.
