Christina Qi is an American entrepreneur who co-founded Databento in 2019 and serves as its CEO. Databento is an on-demand market data platform that provides historical and live financial data feeds to quantitative analysts, asset managers, and trading firms, and closed a $97 million Series B round led by NEA in July 2026. Born in China, Qi moved to Utah at age three and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from MIT in 2013. Before Databento, she co-founded the high-frequency trading hedge fund Domeyard LP from her MIT dorm room with $1,000 in savings, growing it to trade up to $7.1 billion per day at its peak; she has also been a visiting lecturer at MIT and a member of the MIT Corporation board of trustees.
