Howard Lindzon is a Canadian entrepreneur, investor, and co-founder of Stocktwits, a social network for traders and investors built around a stock-ticker-tagging convention on Twitter, which he launched in 2009 with Soren Macbeth. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Ontario and a master's degree in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management (with additional graduate study at Arizona State University). Before Stocktwits, he ran a hedge fund and founded Wallstrip, a business-satire video blog acquired by CBS in 2007. Lindzon is also the managing partner of the venture capital firm Social Leverage and has served at various points as Stocktwits' CEO and executive chairman, resuming the CEO title in recent years.
