Juraj Duris is a Slovak entrepreneur who founded Finviz (short for "Financial Visualizations") in 2007 as a free stock screener and charting platform for individual investors and traders, focused on presenting market data in compact, visual form. Based in Bratislava, Slovakia, he serves as the company's Chief Executive Officer, and Finviz is registered locally as FINVIZ s.r.o., co-owned with a small group of technical partners. Operating with a very small team relative to its scale, Finviz grew into a widely used tool among US retail traders while remaining low-profile and largely self-funded, with no outside venture investment on record. Duris maintains a notably low public and media profile, with almost no interviews or conference appearances despite the platform's prominence in retail trading circles.
