Otakar Šuffner is a Czech entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of FTMO, a Prague-based proprietary trading firm that evaluates traders through challenge programs and funds those who pass with simulated capital. Born in Prague in 1993, he began trading futures as a university student and in 2014, while studying at the University of Economics in Prague, co-founded a trading education platform called Ziskejucet.cz with fellow trader Marek Vasicek; the venture was rebranded FTMO in 2017 as it expanded internationally. Under Suffner's leadership FTMO grew into one of the largest firms in the retail prop-trading industry, reporting hundreds of thousands of funded trader accounts, and the company won Czech EY Entrepreneur of the Year honors and multiple Deloitte Fast 50 awards. In 2024 Suffner and Vasicek led FTMO's acquisition of global forex broker OANDA, with Suffner subsequently also serving as a director and co-CEO within the combined OANDA Group.
