Thomas Peterffy is a Hungarian-born American entrepreneur who founded Interactive Brokers Group in 1978 and is widely regarded as a pioneer of electronic trading. He famously brought the first handheld computer to a trading floor in 1983 and automated options market-making before regulators required him to use a keyboard. Peterffy is Chairman of Interactive Brokers and was worth approximately $27 billion as of 2023.
