The LSE Directory / Fundamental data
Daloopa is a financial data company that extracts fundamental data, line item KPIs, management guidance and non GAAP metrics, from public company filings, earnings transcripts, investor presentations and press releases, using a combination of proprietary AI parsing and human analyst review. Every extracted data point is hyperlinked back to its original source document, so a user can click from a spreadsheet cell through to the underlying filing page. It delivers this data through several products: a downloadable Data Sheet of historical data per ticker, an Excel add in that refreshes a model automatically around earnings releases, a REST API, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for connecting the dataset to AI assistants, and Scout, an AI agent aimed at building and maintaining financial models. The company positions itself against both manual data entry and generic scraped data vendors. It claims to capture up to ten times more granular data points per company than competing providers, since it captures management-defined KPIs and footnote detail that standardized financial statement feeds tend to omit, and because every figure traces to a cited source rather than being presented as an opaque number. Its customers are equity research and investment teams, buy side hedge funds and mutual funds, and bulge bracket banks that need to rebuild or update financial models quickly around earnings. More recently it has also begun selling access to its structured dataset directly to AI labs and agent platforms that need verifiable financial grounding rather than open web retrieval. Daloopa was founded in 2019 by CEO Thomas Li, a former technology, media and telecom analyst at Point72, together with co-founders Daniel Chen and Jeremy Huang; the founders describe spending roughly three years building the product before launch. The company is based in New York and has raised over 100 million dollars in venture funding to date, including a 20 million dollar Series A in 2021, an 18 million dollar Series B in 2024 led by Touring Capital with Morgan Stanley and Nexus Venture Partners participating, and a 47 million dollar Series C announced in May 2026 led by Brighton Park Capital with Squarepoint Capital, Touring Capital and Nexus Venture Partners also participating. At the time of the Series C announcement, Daloopa said it served over 160 financial institutions and covered more than 5,500 public companies with roughly 14 years of history each, with revenue that had doubled over the prior year. In 2026 Daloopa expanded distribution of its dataset through MCP connectors into third party AI tools, including Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's ChatGPT, Perplexity and Rogo, positioning itself as a structured data grounding layer for AI driven investment research rather than only a modeling tool for human analysts. It published a benchmark claiming AI agents using its data were up to 71 percentage points more accurate on financial questions than agents relying on general web retrieval, and Fast Company named it one of its Most Innovative Companies in 2026.
