Massive, known as Polygon.io until October 2025, is a US financial technology company that sells real time and historical market data to developers through APIs rather than through a data terminal or an enterprise sales team. Its platform delivers tick level trades and quotes, aggregated OHLC bars, reference data, corporate actions, fundamentals, news and technical indicators for US stocks, options, indices, forex, crypto and futures, delivered over REST endpoints, WebSocket streaming, and downloadable CSV flat files served through an S3 compatible bulk endpoint. The company specialises in self serve, pay as you go API access aimed at individual developers, quantitative trading desks and fintech startups building their own trading, analytics or research tools, a different go to market approach from the named account licensing that legacy market data vendors use. It is an authorized distributor of OPRA (Options Price Reporting Authority) data, covering trades, quotes and NBBO across all 17 US options exchanges, and its stocks flat files extend back more than 20 years of history. The company is led by founder and CEO Quinton Pike, a former Google employee, and is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. It raised a $6 million Series A round in October 2020, led by e.ventures (later renamed Headline) with participation from existing investor Green Visor Capital; the funding announcement named Google, Revolut, Robinhood and the US Securities and Exchange Commission among organizations already using its data. The company was named a 2022 Inc. 5000 honoree, the magazine's annual list of America's fastest growing private companies. On 30 October 2025 the company rebranded from Polygon.io to Massive, moving its primary site to massive.com and its API host to api.massive.com under the corporate entity Massive.com, Inc. Existing polygon.io API endpoints, account logins, API keys and client SDKs (now labelled massive) kept working unchanged through a parallel transition period, and CEO Quinton Pike described the new name as reflecting the scale of infrastructure and developer community the company had already built. Massive has since published an MCP server that lets AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT query its market data directly inside a development workflow.
