Screener.in is a web and mobile platform for fundamental analysis and stock screening of companies listed on India's NSE and BSE exchanges, operated by Mittal Analytics Private Limited. It compiles 10 or more years of standardised financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow), pre-built and user-defined ratios, annual reports, concall transcripts, credit ratings and segment-wise results, and gives users a query syntax to build custom screens filtering the market on metrics such as P/E, ROCE and market capitalisation. Additional tools include watchlists with email alerts on quarterly results and company announcements, insider and promoter shareholding tracking, peer comparison, and export to Excel and CSV; the platform has also added a commodity price module covering trends for more than 10,000 commodities over ten years, and a shareholder search tool that finds every listed company in which a named individual holds more than 1 percent of shares. The platform targets retail and serious individual investors and analysts doing bottom up fundamental research on Indian equities, particularly small and mid cap names, rather than institutional trading desks. Its core screening query syntax and most financial data are free to use, with a paid Premium tier layering on extras such as Screener AI, a feature that extracts and summarises insights from company disclosure documents. Underlying financial data is licensed from C-MOTS Internet Technologies Private Limited, the data provider behind the Moneycontrol financial portal, which Screener structures into its standardised, queryable format. Screener was created in 2009 by brothers Ayush and Pratyush Mittal, both chartered accountants, growing out of a family habit: their father, an investor since the 1980s, had them download and print quarterly results early each morning so he could study them, and Pratyush automated that workflow, first in Excel and then as a cloud hosted tool that became Screener.in. The operating entity, Mittal Analytics Private Limited (CIN U74120UP2015PTC070197), was incorporated in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in April 2015, and is registered with SEBI as a portfolio manager (registration number INP000006730), though its own site states it is not currently accepting new portfolio management accounts. The company has been built without external venture funding; independent company data placed its annual revenue in the Rs 10 to 50 crore range for the year ended March 31, 2025. Commodity price analysis and the person level shareholder search were added more recently on top of Screener's original equity screening core, alongside Screener AI, extending the product beyond pure equity fundamentals for its existing user base while keeping its bootstrapped, India focused positioning unchanged.
