StockAnalysis.com (marketed under the stockanalysis.com domain) is a web based financial data and research platform built for individual investors. It provides stock prices, financial statements, valuation ratios, analyst estimates, dividend history, ETF holdings, IPO tracking and a stock screener, covering more than 130,000 stocks and funds across global exchanges including NASDAQ, NYSE, CBOE and OTC Markets. Real time price data comes from CBOE, with 15 minute delayed consolidated open and close pricing from Nasdaq UTP; fundamental and historical financial data is sourced primarily from S&P Global Market Intelligence and Fiscal AI, supplemented by Finnhub, Nasdaq Data Link, Financial Modeling Prep, TipRanks, Hiive and Quartr for specific data types such as ETF holdings, analyst ratings, private company pricing and earnings call transcripts. The platform targets retail investors who want fast, uncluttered access to fundamentals and historical financials without a heavy paywall, positioning itself against both ad heavy free stock sites and expensive institutional terminals. Its core screener offers around 299 filters with real time results, which the company markets as comparable to tools costing multiples of its own subscription price. The free tier covers the core data; a paid Stock Analysis Pro tier ($9.99 a month or $79 a year, with a 60 day money back guarantee) removes ads, unlocks 10 to 40 years of financial history and up to 50 years of dividend history, expands screener filters, adds CSV and Excel export, and provides near real time pricing. The company does not offer a public data API, citing its data licensing agreements. The site was founded in 2019 by Kris Gunnars (full name Kristjan Mar Gunnarsson), an Icelandic investor and entrepreneur who also runs his own investment firm, Skuggi Capital ehf, and holds a bachelor's degree in medicine from the University of Iceland. It is owned and operated by the Icelandic company Vefir ehf., with Gunnars holding a 75 percent stake alongside minority part owners Orn Orri Olafsson (10 percent, software development), Aubrey Ann Wood (10 percent, operations and content) and Lincoln Olson (5 percent, business development). The team remains small, with a handful of named staff handling development, editorial and IPO data. StockAnalysis also publishes a free daily newsletter, Market Bullets, and offers iOS and Android apps that carry high user ratings (around 4.8 to 4.9 stars). StockAnalysis presents itself explicitly as neutral and non promotional, stating it aims to be an objective data source rather than a source of stock picks or investment advice, and it directs users to verify data independently against SEC filings before making investment decisions.
