Consolidated Trading LLC is a proprietary trading firm and registered broker-dealer headquartered at 71 S. Wacker Drive in Chicago's Loop. It makes markets and provides liquidity in agricultural, currency, energy, ETF, equity, fixed-income and index derivatives, principally options and other exchange-listed derivative products, trading in a principal capacity across multiple US exchanges. The firm began as a small group of open-outcry derivatives traders on Chicago's exchange floors and, as electronic trading displaced pit trading through the 2000s, rebuilt itself around in-house technology and quantitative pricing models rather than manual floor execution. It positions itself around volatility and market-structure expertise across a broad multi-asset derivatives book, spanning agricultural, currency, energy, ETF, equity, fixed-income and index products, rather than specialising in a single asset class the way many narrower options shops do. The firm was organized and registered as a broker-dealer with the SEC on January 2, 2002 (FINRA CRD number 117726), and has operated continuously under that registration since. Beyond its core market-making business, it has also made selective minority investments in financial-market infrastructure companies; it was named as one of the participating investors, alongside GTS Venture Capital, Galaxy Digital, Wedbush Capital and others, in crypto-market data firm Inca Digital's Series A funding round announced in April 2022. Public disclosure about the firm is limited: it does not publish AUM, revenue or detailed staffing figures, consistent with its profile as a privately held proprietary trading house rather than an asset manager serving outside investors.
