Alpha Capital Group is a UK proprietary trading firm that sells trading evaluations rather than managing outside investment capital. A trader pays a one time fee to attempt a challenge, ranging from a single phase (Alpha One) to two phase (Alpha Pro, Alpha Swing) and three phase (Alpha Three) formats, on an account seeded with simulated capital of up to $200,000. Traders who hit the profit targets while staying within the drawdown rules become a "Qualified Analyst" trading a simulated funded account, keeping up to 80% of the profits they generate as a performance fee paid out biweekly or on demand. Trading runs on MetaTrader 5, cTrader, DXTrade and TradeLocker, across forex, indices, commodities and crypto. The firm markets itself as combining evaluation technology with trader support rather than being a pure challenge seller, and it runs several adjacent products under the same umbrella: Alpha Futures, a separate futures focused funded program, and Alpha Prime, launched in 2025, which gives a smaller group of vetted traders a monthly base salary and access to a physical trading floor in London under an experienced desk manager, a departure from the pure demo account model most competitors use. It also operates its own regulated brokerage, ACG Markets, authorised by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles since November 2023, as a separate entity from the evaluation business. Challenge plans market themselves against time limited rivals by offering unlimited trading days and no minimum day requirement on most plans. Alpha Capital Group Limited (Companies House number 13719951) was incorporated in England on 2 November 2021. Managing director and founder George Kohler co-founded the company with Andrew Blaylock; Companies House records list a third individual, Alexander Hagan, among the beneficial owners, with each of the three holding a stake of between 25 and 50 percent. According to Finance Magnates reporting, monthly active users grew from about 1,000 in the firm's first year to roughly 100,000 by its third, and the company reports more than 1 million traders across 140-plus countries have used its platform. It states it has paid out $120 million in cumulative performance fees since launch, including $60 million in 2024 alone. The same reporting put the average evaluation pass rate at 20 percent, and noted that in 2024 the firm blocked around 150 accounts and flagged over 300 accounts linked to a single device ID for suspected rule violations such as coordinated group trading. Reported 2025 payouts slowed sharply to around $20 million for the year, roughly a third of the 2024 figure, a trend Finance Magnates tied to declining web traffic and intensifying competition among prop trading firms. The company responded in December 2025 by launching a dedicated mobile app for tracking account metrics, performance and challenge progress, alongside continued rollout of the Alpha Prime professional trading track.
