The Trading Pit is a proprietary trading firm that gives retail traders access to capital through paid evaluation challenges. Traders pass a one-step or two-step assessment on a demo account, sized from $2,500 up to $200,000 for its CFD Challenge, $50,000 to $150,000 for its Futures Prime Program, or a dedicated Stocks Challenge, then trade a funded account and keep a share of the profits generated. It is legally organised as The Trading Pit Group, with The Trading Pit Challenge GmbH (registration FL-0002.693.417-1) operating the retail challenge business out of Vaduz, Liechtenstein. The firm specialises in covering CFDs, exchange-traded futures and equities under one evaluation framework, a combination it markets as unusual among funded-trader programmes, most of which offer only forex and index CFDs. Profit splits differ by product: up to 80% on the CFD Scaling Plan, 80% on the Futures Prime Program, and a 70/30 split during the Stocks Challenge Earning Phase. Supported platforms span MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader for CFDs, and ATAS, Quantower, Rithmic, Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, Tradovate and Bookmap for futures. The firm's Liechtenstein registration is marketed as a higher regulatory standard than the offshore incorporations used by many competitors, since Liechtenstein is an EEA member state; it does not offer CFDs to residents of the United States, Canada or Russia. The company was established by Illimar Mattus, who also co-founded the multi-regulated broker Tickmill and founded the investment firm Pinorena Capital, together with Christoph Radecker; Pinorena Capital led a 10 million euro funding round for the firm in November 2022. Radecker and the Liechtenstein office's then-CEO Thomas Heyden both left the company in May 2024, after which Mattus continued as founder alongside Group CEO Daniela Egli. As of its own published figures, the firm processes more than 450,000 trades a month across over 10,000 active monthly accounts in more than 180 countries, and has paid out over $16 million in trader rewards. It has won industry awards including Best Multi-Asset Prop Trading Firm 2025 and Most Flexible Funding Offering 2025 from FundedTrading Awards. In February 2026 the firm launched TTP Markets, a Seychelles-regulated brokerage arm intended to build a multi-jurisdictional regulatory base beyond its Liechtenstein registration, initially onboarding successful traders from its existing challenge community rather than the general public. In May 2026 it joined Propinder, a prop-firm discovery platform run by FXStreet, positioning itself as one of the few firms offering CFD, futures and stock challenges side by side.
