The LSE Directory / Prop firms
The5ers is an Israeli proprietary trading firm that gives retail traders access to funded trading accounts once they pass a rules-based evaluation, rather than requiring traders to risk their own deposited capital. Traders trade forex, metals, indices and futures (and, through a partner program, US stocks) on MetaTrader 5 and cTrader, and once funded they trade a simulated account backed by the firm's own capital pool, with profits generated in that simulated environment paid out to the trader under a profit-split agreement. The firm runs three core evaluation tracks, a one-step Hyper Growth program, a two-step High Stakes program and a three-step Bootcamp program, plus a separate futures offering it launched in 2026 on the Black Arrow platform covering markets such as gold, silver and Nasdaq futures with overnight-holding and news-trading permissions. The5ers differentiates itself within the crowded forex prop-firm category on payout structure and marketing tone rather than headline pricing: traders who clear an evaluation can scale a starting account of $5,000 to $50,000 toward a stated ceiling of $4 million in simulated buying power, with profit splits rising toward 100% as a trader's track record lengthens, and founder Gil Ben Hur has said that once a trader is funded they are never asked to pay anything more, positioning the firm against upsell-heavy rivals. Ben Hur has also publicly argued that the industry-standard two-step evaluation model cannot be run on an A-book, real-market-execution basis, and has framed the company's marketing around plain-spoken authenticity rather than lifestyle imagery, telling Finance Magnates in 2025, "We don't sell dreams. We don't drive Lamborghinis." Its target customer is the individual retail trader rather than an institutional desk; as of that 2025 interview the firm said it had between roughly 100,000 and 200,000 active users globally, with India as its largest market. It also operates sibling brands under the same corporate umbrella, Five Percent Group: TradeThePool, a US-stocks funded-trading program launched around 2022, and TSG, a CySEC-licensed CFD brokerage based in Cyprus, giving the group a regulated execution arm alongside its unregulated evaluation-and-funding business. The company was founded in 2016 by Gil Ben Hur, a former advertising copywriter and television producer who became a full-time independent forex trader in 2007. Saul Lokier, who has more than 15 years of trading experience including a prior role as CEO of Apiary Fund, now serves as The5ers' CEO. By its own published figures the company has onboarded more than 262,000 traders, processed over 1.6 million trading accounts, and pays out more than 3,700 funded traders a month, with a headcount of roughly 170 staff across 24 countries and a registered office in Raanana, Israel. The5ers is not a regulated broker-dealer; funded accounts trade in a simulated environment against the firm's own capital rather than live client deposits, a structure standard across the proprietary-trading-challenge industry. In January 2026 the firm won "Best Funded Trading Service (B2C)" at the Finance Magnates London Summit, FMLS:25. Most recently the firm has pushed beyond its CFD roots: it re-entered the US CFD market in late 2025 on the cTrader platform after MetaQuotes restricted CFD prop firms from onboarding US traders through MetaTrader, and in 2026 it opened a beta futures prop-trading offering on the Black Arrow platform, putting it in more direct competition with futures-focused prop firms such as TopStep, Apex and MyFundedFutures.
