Aaron Fifield is an Australian trader and podcaster who founded Chat With Traders in January 2015 and hosted it through episode 243 until July 2022, building it into one of the most respected long-form interview shows with professional traders, market makers and quants across stocks, futures, options, forex and crypto. A former graphic and web designer who left school at 15 for a design apprenticeship, he started the podcast while learning to trade, and later taught himself to code with a focus on systematic and algorithmic trading. According to his own profiles, he now trades Australian equities (active since late 2018), works as a trader and trader manager at a proprietary firm in Sydney, and leads an early-stage algorithmic trading team. The podcast, which its official X account says has over 25 million plays, continues under successor hosts, with its YouTube channel at roughly 273k subscribers.
