Bryan Downing is a Toronto-based trader and quant-education entrepreneur, and the founder of QuantLabs.net, a membership site offering courses, ebooks (including his "Trade Like a Boss" books and a C++ HFT trading-infrastructure ebook), an "AI Quant Toolkit," and community groups focused on practical quantitative and high-frequency trading. His long-running, highly prolific YouTube channel @quantlabs (about 14.5k subscribers and roughly 7,700 videos as shown on the channel in July 2026) covers HFT concepts, C++ and Python for trading systems, algo strategy building, and quant career topics, and he also hosted the "Quant Trading Live Report" podcast and writes the Substack "The Order Book Edge" (2.1k+ subscribers per Substack). Quant author Ernie Chan credited Downing in the acknowledgments of "Algorithmic Trading: Winning Strategies and Their Rationale" for introducing him to some of the trading technologies covered in the book.
