Christophe Barraud (born 1986) is a French economist who spent nearly fifteen years as Chief Economist and Strategist at Market Securities, served as CEO of Market Securities Monaco S.A.M. from 2023 to 2025, and joined LIOR Global Partners as Head of Discretionary Management and Research in October 2025. Bloomberg ranked him a top forecaster of the US economy (2012-2020, 2022-2024), the Eurozone economy (2015-2019, 2022, 2024) and the Chinese economy (2017-2020, 2024), and MarketWatch named him Forecaster of the Year in 2020; he was made a Knight of the French National Order of Merit in 2021. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Universite Paris-Dauphine, where his thesis examined parallels between sports betting markets and financial markets, and he lectures in the MSc Finance at ESCP Business School.
