Holger Zschäpitz (born 1971) is a German financial journalist who has been a senior editor on the economics and finance desk of Die Welt and Welt am Sonntag since 2000. Under the handle @Schuldensuehner ("debt atoner", a nod to his sovereign-debt book "Schulden ohne Suehne?" co-written with economist Kai A. Konrad), he posts daily data charts on global markets, bunds, the euro, ECB policy and worldwide liquidity to an X audience his profile pages put at roughly 350-370K followers. He co-hosts the weekly WELT business podcast "Deffner & Zschaepitz" with Dietmar Deffner and occasionally hosts WELT's daily markets podcast "Alles auf Aktien", teaches as an external lecturer at the Free University of Berlin, and won the 2017 German Journalist Prize in the wealth-management category as well as a 2025 German Finfluencer Award. He lives in Berlin.
