Michael W. Green is Portfolio Manager and Chief Strategist at Simplify Asset Management, an options-based ETF provider he joined in April 2021, and writes the Substack "Yes, I give a fig... thoughts on markets". A Wharton graduate and CFA charterholder with roughly 30 years in markets, he previously served as Chief Strategist at Logica Capital Advisers, managed Peter Thiel's personal capital at Thiel Macro (where he was widely reported to have profitably shorted the XIV inverse-volatility ETN ahead of its February 2018 collapse), founded the Soros-seeded macro fund Ice Farm Capital, and built Canyon Partners' New York macro business.
