Patrick Boyle is an Irish investment-management professional turned finance educator, best known for his YouTube channel and the Patrick Boyle On Finance podcast, where he covers quantitative finance, derivatives, market blowups, and financial history with a deadpan comedic style. He began his finance career in 1997, worked with Victor Niederhoffer and held portfolio manager roles at RBS, Millennium, and Nomura, and was a founding partner of the quantitative hedge fund Palomar Capital Management, which he sold in 2018. He is a visiting professor of finance at King's Business School (King's College London), where he won a 2019 King's Education Award for innovation in teaching, and has taught at Queen Mary University of London.
