Rajandran R is an Indian trader and educator, a telecom engineer turned full-time derivatives trader who says he has been trading the markets since 2006, focusing on Nifty, BankNifty, USDINR and liquid stock derivatives with expertise in Market Profile and Orderflow. He founded Marketcalls.in in September 2007, a research blog covering technical analysis, trading system design and trading software (Amibroker, TradingView, Python), and says he has published over 100 open-source trading systems. He is the creator of OpenAlgo, an AGPL-3.0 open-source, self-hosted algo-trading framework for Indian traders that he says supports 20+ brokers, has crossed 100,000 downloads, and has a Discord community of more than 3,000 members. He also runs paid courses and the Tradezilla mentorship program via his Marketcalls learning sites, and spoke at IndiaFOSS 2025 on how OpenAlgo grew from a personal weekend hack into a community-led platform.
