Roger Scott is a U.S. trading educator best known for teaching retail day traders to use NYSE market-breadth internals, the TICK, the Advance-Decline line (ADD) and Volume Difference (VOLD), to read whether a move in the broad market is genuine or an illusion before taking a trade. After earning a law degree in 1998 he chose trading over practicing law, registering as a futures broker in 1999 and going on to run funds alongside a former Turtle trader and academic economists before launching his own education firm, Market Geeks, in 2005. He is currently Senior Strategist and Co-Owner of The TradingPub, where he publishes daily premarket videos, a live trading room, and recurring articles walking through how ADD, TICK and VOLD confirm or contradict price action intraday. Scott has been featured on outlets including CNBC, CNN, Forbes, Bloomberg and Fox Business, and cites (per his own promotional materials) a multi-year win-rate track record for his published trade alerts.
