Sergei Perfiliev is a Ukrainian-born, London-based former sell-side quant who spent about a decade in finance at Bloomberg, Nomura and Goldman Sachs, including four years as a quant/strat across three Goldman desks in Fixed Income and Equities, before leaving in May 2021 to found Perfiliev Financial Training. He holds an MEng from Imperial College London and an MSc in Mathematical Finance from Oxford. He became widely known for educational X threads and blog posts on options market structure, notably how to calculate gamma exposure (GEX) and the zero-gamma level, and on vanna, charm and dealer delta-hedging flows, with accompanying Python code. His company sells the "Mastering Financial Markets" video course, publishes free weekly articles, and runs a YouTube channel; per his own profiles he has roughly 66.7K followers on X and about 20.3K YouTube subscribers as of mid-2026.
