Steve Sosnick is Chief Strategist at Interactive Brokers, a role he has held since 2017, and previously served as head trader of Timber Hill, the firm's market-making division. He began his career at Salomon Brothers in 1986 after earning a BS in Economics and an MBA in Finance from Wharton, held senior trading roles at Lehman Brothers (1989-1992) and Morgan Stanley (1992-1995), then joined Timber Hill in 1995 as an equity risk manager and options market maker, leading its Canadian operation from 1998 and building algorithmic and electronic trading strategies for stocks and options. He now writes regular market commentary for IBKR Campus's Traders' Insight, appears frequently on Bloomberg, CNBC, Yahoo Finance and Fox Business, has guest-authored Barron's columns, and has served on the MIAX Pearl exchange board and advisory boards of the Canadian Securities Exchange and the International Securities Exchange.
