The LSE Directory / Trading software

AgenaTrader is a Windows desktop (with a web client at web.agenatrader.com) trading platform built for active and semi-professional traders who want to run several brokers and data feeds from one interface. It provides real-time multi-timeframe charting with the ability to have large numbers of charts open at once, roughly 120 built-in indicators, a real-time signal scanner, order execution tools including chart trading and DOM, and coverage the vendor states runs to more than one million tradable instruments across roughly 150 markets in 27 currencies, spanning stocks, futures, forex, CFDs and options. The platform's central technical differentiator is AgenaScript, a scripting language whose syntax is derived from C#/.NET, used to code custom indicators, alert conditions, and semi- or fully automated strategies; traders who do not want to write code get a drag-and-drop signal and strategy builder covering similar ground. Where many retail platforms tie a trader to one brokerage, AgenaTrader is built to hold several broker and data-feed connections open side by side, with confirmed integrations to Interactive Brokers, CQG and Rithmic alongside the vendor's own AgenaBroker service (built on Interactive Brokers infrastructure); a user can run paper and live accounts in parallel without switching applications. Its backtesting engine was developed, per the vendor's own documentation, in collaboration with the University of Aachen. Trade press coverage credits Gilbert Kreuzthaler as founder. The company operates as AgenaTrader GmbH under holding company Galaxy Ventures GmbH, alongside sibling social-trading platform TradersYard. In July 2023, Galaxy Ventures received a 3.5 million euro investment from Swiss private equity firm Andromeda Capital Partners, which took a controlling stake in the group; the round was earmarked for engineering, marketing and business-development hiring plus new bank, broker and hedge-fund partnerships. AgenaTrader has held Bloomberg Server API (SAPI) Certified Integration Partner status since February 2022, letting Bloomberg terminal data and execution connect into the platform. Pricing is subscription based, running from a free entry tier (Mercury, single broker, basic charting and scripting) through paid Neptune, Andromeda and Galaxy tiers that add multi-broker support and semi-automated to fully automated trading, with specialised add-ons such as COT-report, seasonality and correlation-matrix modules sold separately through its own shop. Since the 2023 investment, the company's stated aim has been to broaden bank, broker and hedge-fund partnerships and lower platform fees while growing its base beyond German-speaking retail and semi-professional traders toward a wider international audience.
