Builds Eze OMS/EMS and the cloud-native Eze Eclipse platform for order and execution management at hedge funds and asset managers.

The LSE Directory / Trading software

SS&C Eze builds order and execution management systems (OMS/EMS) used by buy side trading desks to run the trade lifecycle: order creation and routing, execution, pre trade compliance checks, allocation and post trade processing. Its core products, marketed together as the Eze Investment Suite, are Eze OMS and Eze EMS (frequently deployed together as a combined Eze OEMS) and Eze Eclipse, a cloud native, front to back platform covering trading, compliance and portfolio operations. The firm specializes in buy side clients, hedge funds, family offices, asset managers and private equity firms, rather than sell side brokers, and its platforms cover multi asset trading including equities, fixed income, FX, swaps and options, with fixed income connectivity to venues such as Tradeweb and Bloomberg. Since SS&C's 2018 acquisition, Eze Investment Suite has been increasingly paired via REST APIs with SS&C Advent's Geneva portfolio accounting platform to offer clients a combined front to back workflow, a positioning against standalone OMS/EMS vendors that lack an affiliated accounting and administration layer. The business traces to Eze Castle Software, founded in Boston in 1995 by Sean McLaughlin, an automated order management system for the buy side named after the French Riviera village of Eze. In 2000 the firm split into two independent companies: Eze Castle Software, the OMS business, and the separately run Eze Castle Integration (IT services for hedge funds; not the entity covered in this profile). In 2013, TPG combined Eze Castle Software with RealTick, an execution management and market data provider founded in 1985, to form Eze Software Group, which the same year also acquired portfolio accounting vendor Tradar. SS&C Technologies completed an all cash acquisition of Eze Software for $1.45 billion on October 1, 2018 (announced July 31, 2018); at the time Eze Software had roughly 1,050 employees across 15 offices, more than 2,500 clients on five continents, and had reported 2017 revenue of $280 million with adjusted EBITDA of $105 million. Eze Eclipse, launched in 2018, had surpassed 250 live clients by October 2023. As of 2026, the product's web presence at ezesoft.com redirects to SS&C's Advent branded site, advent.com, reflecting SS&C's push to present Eze Investment Suite and Advent Geneva as one integrated ecosystem; the Eze product names (Eze OMS, Eze EMS, Eze Eclipse) remain in active use within that combined presentation.
