The LSE Directory / Trading software

FlexTrade Systems is a US financial technology company, founded in 1996 by Vijay Kedia (president and CEO) with Rajiv Kedia as associate founder, and headquartered in Great Neck, New York, that builds multi-asset execution management system (EMS) and order management system (OMS) software for institutional trading desks. Its flagship product, FlexTRADER, is described by the company as one of the first broker-neutral EMS platforms and covers equities, foreign exchange, fixed income, futures and options within a single execution workflow. The broader product line includes FlexOMS for order management, FlexONE for buy-side order and execution management, FlexFX for dedicated foreign exchange trading, and Spark, a cloud-hosted multi-asset EMS rebranded from FlexNOW in 2023. FlexTrade differentiates itself from off-the-shelf EMS/OMS vendors through configurability: FlexTRADER exposes a proprietary scripting environment that lets clients build their own algorithmic execution strategies, smart order routing logic and broker or algo wheel rules rather than relying only on vendor-supplied defaults. Its broker-neutral model connects clients to liquidity and algorithms from many brokers and dealers rather than steering flow to an affiliated broker, a structural difference from bank-owned or broker-owned execution platforms. Customers span both sides of the market, including hedge funds, asset managers, sovereign wealth and pension funds, market makers and sell-side broker-dealers; the company states it serves clients across 45 countries. FlexTrade remains privately held and led by co-founder Vijay Kedia. Its most notable corporate transaction is the sale of MaxxTrader, its multi-dealer FX pricing and risk platform (over 70 institutional clients, roughly $17 billion in average daily volume), to Singapore Exchange (SGX) in a deal announced in 2021 for approximately $125 million in cash, with up to a further $35 million in earnout payments tied to 2021-2022 revenue targets; the acquisition extended SGX's FX OTC business alongside its BidFX subsidiary. FlexTrade itself reports more than 500 employees and holds SOC 2 Type II certification for its hosted infrastructure. The company continues to push its EMS line toward cloud delivery: Spark, rebranded from FlexNOW in April 2023, is a one-click, same-day-onboarding multi-asset EMS built on FlexTrade's FlexLINK FIX network, positioned to meet growing demand for cloud-based execution tools. In 2025, Euromoney named FlexTrade's FlexFX platform the World's Best FX EMS/OMS Solution, citing its coverage of spot, forwards, non-deliverable forwards, swaps and options and its use by large asset managers and hedge funds.
