The LSE Directory / Trading software
Jigsaw Trading builds order flow trading software for short term futures and equities traders. Its flagship product, daytradr, is a standalone platform built around a price ladder (depth of market), a reconstructed tape showing aggregated time and sales, and Auction Vista, a set of order flow visualisations covering market depth shading, cumulative and volume delta charts, large trade detection, and depth histograms. The platform also ships a lower timeframe charting package and a trade simulator that fills orders against recorded DOM data rather than assumed prices. daytradr connects to third party data and execution feeds including CQG, Rithmic, IQFeed, Tradovate, StoneX and Interactive Brokers, and plugs into NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, MultiCharts and MetaTrader 5, rather than acting as a broker or data vendor in its own right. The company differentiates itself by selling software and order flow education as a single bundle rather than software on its own. Its three packages, Independent, Professional and Institutional, are one time purchases (listed on its site at $579, $879 and $1,979 respectively) that all include the same daytradr and Journalytix software; the price difference is the amount of order flow training content bundled in, and live market data access is billed separately at $50 a month or $500 a year. Its second product, Journalytix, is a cloud based trade journal that automatically imports stock, options, futures, forex, CFD and cryptocurrency trades without manual CSV entry, adds P&L drill downs by time of day, day of week and instrument, a notes editor with speech to text tagging, and an opt in leaderboard ranking users by P&L or by a proprietary consistency score. This bundled software plus curriculum model targets discretionary, order flow focused day traders and small proprietary trading shops rather than institutional desks. Jigsaw Trading was founded by Peter Davies, a former IT consultant on manufacturing and telecoms projects (including stints with Ericsson) across the Netherlands, Denmark, Japan and Thailand, who turned to day trading after a roughly 30 percent drawdown under a financial adviser and began building his own order flow tools, which friends encouraged him to sell commercially. Independent sources place the company's founding in 2010 or 2011, trading primarily E-mini S&P 500 futures as its author's own market. The company's contact page lists its headquarters in Hong Kong, with a second office in Bangkok, Thailand. It offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on its packages and lists partnerships with multiple futures brokerages for account opening. Journalytix is also marketed and documented on its own separate domain (journalytix.me), indicating it is positioned as a standalone product alongside daytradr rather than purely an add-on.
