The LSE Directory / Trading software
TS Imagine is a New York headquartered financial technology provider that sells cloud based (SaaS) software for trading, portfolio management, and real time risk. Its flagship offering, TS One, combines two product lines: TradeSmart, an order and execution management system (OEMS) covering equities, fixed income, futures, derivatives, options, OTC products and digital assets from a single login, and RiskSmart, a real time portfolio risk and compliance engine. The company connects buy side and sell side firms to a broker neutral network it reports at over 250 brokers and banks, so clients can route orders without being locked into a single counterparty. Within trading and portfolio software, TS Imagine positions itself on breadth across asset classes and on serving both sides of the market from one code base, brokers and banks on RiskSmart X, and asset managers, hedge funds, and asset owners on TradeSmart OEMS and RiskSmart Plus. Differentiators the company advertises include automation tooling (AutoRoute, AlgoWheel style broker algo selection), an embedded transaction cost analysis module benchmarked against more than 175 measures, and, as of an April 2026 product announcement, an event driven automation layer ("Automation 2.0") that lets trading desks define rule based, cross asset execution workflows, which the company frames as a step toward more autonomous, agent driven execution. TS Imagine was formed in 2021 when private equity firm Francisco Partners combined two older, independently founded businesses: TradingScreen, a SaaS order and execution management vendor founded in New York in 1999 by Philippe Buhannic and Joseph Ahearn, and Imagine Software, a real time risk and portfolio management vendor founded in 1993 by Scott Sherman, Steven Harrison, Lance Smith and David Miller. Rob Flatley, previously founder and CEO of CoreOne Technologies and a former Deutsche Bank Securities managing director, was named CEO of the combined company. At the time of the merger the combined firm reported roughly 400 employees across 10 offices and about 500 buy side and sell side institutional clients; the company's own site now cites 390-plus employees across 8-plus offices (including London, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Montreal and San Francisco) and more than 400 clients, including several of the top 10 global banks. TS Imagine has continued to publish growth figures tied to usage of its platform rather than assets it manages itself: it reports client assets under service on its systems grew from 5.3 trillion dollars in 2023 to 19.5 trillion dollars by the time of its April 2026 Automation 2.0 launch, a figure the company uses to describe the scale of activity running through TradeSmart and RiskSmart rather than proprietary AUM.
