Wyden is a Zurich, Switzerland based financial technology company that builds a unified trading and operating platform for digital assets. The platform covers the complete trade lifecycle for a financial institution: price discovery and smart order routing, treasury and risk management, automated digital asset settlement, and accounting and regulatory reporting. It connects to more than 65 liquidity venues, custodians, core banking systems, market data providers, and FX sources, and supports over 1,000 digital assets across spot, futures, options, and perpetual swap instruments, so a client does not have to build and maintain its own point to point integrations with each venue. Wyden specialises in institutional grade infrastructure for regulated financial institutions rather than retail trading tools. It offers two main solution lines: a retail brokerage solution that lets banks and brokers offer buy, sell, and hold crypto spot trading to their own consumer customers through an agency model, and an institutional brokerage solution giving asset managers, hedge funds, and other institutional clients access to liquidity across regulated exchanges, brokers, and OTC desks under agency or principal trading models. This positions the company as infrastructure for banks and brokers entering digital assets, rather than as a trading venue or broker itself. The company is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and operates as a designated ICT third party under the EU's DORA regulation, reflecting its focus on serving regulated institutions. The company was founded in 2009 in Zurich by Andy Flury, who remains CEO, and traces its roots to an internal algorithmic trading project that was later spun out as an independent company, AlgoTrader. It rebranded from AlgoTrader to Wyden in October 2022 to reflect a shift from being seen as an algorithmic trading software vendor to a full institutional trading and operations platform. Wyden has raised a total of approximately 28.4 million dollars in funding, including a Series A round in January 2020 and further funding announced in November 2024, from investors that have included Groundshift, PostFinance Ventures, SBI Ven Capital, Sygnum Bank, and Truffle Capital. The company operates offices in Zurich, New York, and Singapore, and lists clients including Garanti BBVA Kripto, flatexDEGIRO, Luzerner Kantonalbank, Baader Bank, and InCore Bank. In May 2026 Wyden announced an integration with EDX Markets, a US institutional only digital asset trading venue that operates a central clearinghouse, connecting Wyden's platform directly to EDX's matching engine. The stated aim is to give institutional clients access to centrally cleared, aggregated liquidity with reduced counterparty risk through daily net settlement and segregated collateral accounts, extending Wyden's existing liquidity network as EDX pursues a US national trust bank license.
