Moneyness, Intrinsic and Time Value | Options

Learn moneyness and the two parts of an option premium. In the money, at the money and out of the money describe where the strike sits relative to the price. Intrinsic value is what exercising now would pay, and time value is the rest, the price of the chance the option finishes in the money, which grows with time left and expected volatility and is largest at the money.
